Sat   Aug  12        Benefit for Michael Chapdelaine - Doug Young and Teja Gerken, Ervin Somogyi, Fran Guidry, Pete Madsen and Michael Chapdelaine. Silent auction, as well. This from host Josh Isaacs:

A few months back Michael Chapdelaine's home was robbed...I'll spare the details but it was, and is, not awesome.

On Aug. 12th, at Mighty Fine Guitars in Lafayette, something special is going to happen. With performances by Doug Young, Teja Gerken, Fran Guidry, Pete Madsen, a chat w Ervin Somogyi, and a closing performance by Michael himself it is set to be a very special night. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Michael and his wife.

There will also be a live auction with some VERY COOL donated "items"
Teja Gerken has donated a years membership to Peghead Nation

Michi Matsuda has donated a full set up at his shop for your guitar

Leo Buendia has donated a session with him at the Somogyi shop where he will show you how he works, what he is working on, and give you a tour of those hallowed grounds.

Jason Kostal has donated "A Day With Jason". This is a crazy one, so it is up to you to get to Arizona and provide your own lodging BUT when you arrive Jason is yours for a day! That could mean any number of can tour Jasons shop and play whatever he has "lying" around, you could go to the Musical Instrument Museum, the Grand Canyon is an option too! Jason has also offered top cook for you at the end of the day, somethnig you absolutely need ot take him up on. It is for you and Jason to discuss and have an unforgettable day.

Lastly, Jayson Bowerman has built us a remarkably beautiful (new) guitar. It is his Oregon Trail model, basicaly a Single 0, out of walnut\spruce with a stunning sunburst top. I cant even say how generous this is...and how generous everyone involved has been. This guitar is currently at Mighty Fine Guitars for you to play and fall in love with. This item will have a reserve of $2000 (over $6,000 if you had Jayson build it for you!). I own a Bowerman and it is amazing, this is a very rare opportunity.

The auction will be open for the duration of the show and high bids win. It will be live streamed and open to the world wide web for bidding.

No tickets or RSVP. First come first sit, limited space so come early! These folks dont get together and play EVER, and helping Michael is the point.

Thanks all.
