Carmel OM #23 - 2011
Carmel OM #23 - 2011
Well, friends, Google AI sez:
Carmel Guitar Co. (Luthier/Builder) [1]
Background: Founded in 2010 by Eric Padilla (a former Santa Cruz Guitar Co. employee) and Todd Flory, this company produced high-end custom acoustic guitars.
Production: They built a limited number of guitars, estimated at around 100, focusing on high-end woods like Italian Spruce, Madagascar Rosewood, and Ziricote.
Key Models: Known for their OM (Orchestra Model) and Parlor guitars.
Status: Production has stopped, making them rare, high-end collector items.
Here’s what I say: YOW!
This really unusual combination of woods, yields really unusual set of overtones. I've seen bloodwood used frequently as bridges and fingerboards, or as trim, but rarely as a back & side wood. The best way to describe the overall sound is, I suppose, "majestic.” But decide for yourself. Come play it.
