I hate to play favorites, but I’ve just got to admit that this is one of the coolest guitars in the shop. I play it all the time when giving lessons because for all the wold it feels like a 1930s Martin. Light, loud, comfortable. It’s played-in, all right … and has some scars to prove it, but all in all, a hugely worthy all-purpose guitar that fingerpicks just great, but can hold its own in a strummy jam situation, as well.

• for the rest, just think “1930s Martin OM” and you’ll be right on the money.
