Martin D-18 - 1974 (but good!)
$2,900.00
As you perhaps already know, the 1970s was not Martin’s finest decade. In the wake of the folk boom of the 1960s and the subsequent folk-rock boom of the ‘70s, quality control slipped, and a lot of bridges were placed incorrectly, rendering correct intonation impossible up the neck. You were kinda OK on those first three frets, but north of that … ugh. Thankfully, this gem was spared that fate. It’s in fantastic shape, sound great and plays great. But because of the notoriety of the era, 1970s Martins tend to command prices lower than you’d otherwise expect. And at $2900, this one is an absolute screamin’ deal.
