Nashville Guitar Co. Size 5-ish / Terz / Parlor guitar 2015
handmade by Marty Lanham

top: Sitka spruce from Gibson/Kalamazoo, pre-1949
upper bout: 8-⅜”
lower bout: 11-½”
nut width: 1-11/16”
scale: 23-¾”
frets to body: 14
body depth at tail: 4-1/8” … deep!
bindings: grained ivoroid
bridge: genuine walrus ivory
top trim, back strip, fretboard perimeter: abalone
fretboard: ebony w/abalone fret markers
tuners: Waverly, w/ivoroid buttons
Can be played in standard tuning, of course, but this little monster comes completely alive when tuned up a minor third, like the German “terz” instruments it was designed after. Also sounds fantastic strung Nashville-style, with all unwound strings.
Think Smashing Pumpkins. Think Marty Robbins.
